Buyer Program
Exchange offers buyers and procurement professionals the opportunity to post their expenditure needs to a site that is presented to vendors that they would ordinarily work directly with. Exchange, however, offers a fast and efficient way to solicite proposals and narrow the selections down to the "first round" candidates. This "reverse auction" process encourages competition and provides a graceful means to get the best proposals.
Seller Program
Exchange gives commercial sellers an alternative "forward auction" site that is suited for larger assets that aren't appropriate for general public auction sites. With access to Exemplum's product display capabiities, sellers can display their assets in the best possible manner to qualified buyers.
How It Works
- Both buyers and sellers log into a secure site that displays content and information relevant to them
- Identity of all buyers and sellers are kept confidential and hidden from the other
- Postings for assets to be purchased or sold appear on the personalized pages of approved buyers/sellers
- All parties can track and modify their proposals prior to expiration of the offer period
- At any time during the offer period, buyers and sellers can submit questions online or call Exemplum for clarification.
- Exemplum acts solely as a nuetral market-maker
- Commissions are paid by either the buyer or seller at the end of the offer period
- Payment, delivery, and terms are handled directly between buyer and seller
